Career

Rajesh Das started his career as an IPS officer on August 19, 1990. He worked in Tamil Nadu. During his career, he held many important posts. These included being a Commandant in a special police battalion at Avadi. He also worked as Superintendent of Police (SP) in different places. For example, he served as SP in the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board in Chennai and later in the Thiruvallur district.

As he grew older in his career, Rajesh Das became Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Coastal Security Group in Tamil Nadu. He also became IGP for South Zone Police. Later, he became the Commissioner of Police for Chennai Suburban area. He returned to be IGP for Coastal Security again.
